I didn't realise this was part of a series when I picked up the book. It's a good thing that Stone's foresight and smarts manages to get them out of a serious bind. It's certainly necessary given what happens. Circumstances are not kind to her or her aunt as people and events from the past catch up to her but it's a good thing she's got Stone in her corner fighting for her now.

She's a little out of her depth and overwhelmed by Stone but she's not shrinking violet either. All wonderful qualities to have in a man. I enjoyed his single-minded determination and his protectiveness. From the moment he meets Maggie, everything he does is for her and about building a life with her. Unfortunately, fate throws him for a loop on the same day it presents him with the love of his life. I can't say I enjoy MMA or have read many books with it as a theme but in general I can't say I like it a whole lot.
